SEO Project Implementation Process

Episode Overview:

Join host Ben as he continues SEO Workflow Week with Searchmetrics’ Client Success Manager Cassie Dell to talk about the SEO project implementation process. Together they discuss how to best apply your SEO strategy to meet milestones and drive results.

A strong project foundation ensures your strategy will drive successful results. Keyword optimization should take priority, segmenting them into tagged lists like product keywords or brand keywords. Tagged lists make it easier to manage data variables.

Before you begin executing your content strategy it’s best to create a content baseline. Reviewing past content to see performance data like peak views will provide a general understanding of performance benchmarks to compare. After setting a baseline, polishing content to ensure it’s ready for publication is the next step. Next is content publication, which differs depending on the type of content you’re publishing.

Product details pages are best published in bulk whereas evergreen content is typically published in stages. Performing quality assurance checks on published content ensures you can make necessary adjustments to ensure your strategy executes correctly.
