How Many Core Web Vitals Metrics Exist?

Episode Overview:

Join host Ben continues Core Web Vitals week with Marcus Tober, Founder and Chief Evangelist at Searchmetrics. Together they discuss the various ways to solve Core Web Vitals companies can experience.

When it comes to optimizing Core Web Vitals against your competition, Marcus suggests looking at Google. Google is already providing the majority of analytics and resources that companies need to be successful. Within Chrome, Google has a Lighthouse tool or use the Google Search Console to test for your scores. Using Google Interface will give you real-time data that you can use to determine priorities. Looking at your pages can help you determine if you need to change image types on pages or media usage. This can help improve your scores drastically.

SEOs need to start analyzing their pages so that they can live up to Google’s standards. By testing pages in advance of the rollout, they can ensure that everything is optimized for user experience and rankings. Then, once the rollout happens, they can use lab and field data to fine-tune their metrics.
