Brand SERPs

GUESTS & RESOURCES

Episode Overview:

Join host Ben as he speaks with Kalicube founder and author Jason Barnard about the importance of establishing brand authority on SERPs. Together they analyze exact brand matches and how to be found when sharing similar brand names with a higher ranked competitor.

When your brand name is your personal name, it can prove difficult for search engines to differentiate your name from potentially thousands of other names online. Using a full name with a middle initial can help, but you still need to differentiate your brand offerings to eliminate ambiguity.

Owning and creating rich site features like posting videos, Twitter integrations and a robust selection of brand-reflecting images will help Google identify you from competitors. Creating a unified, positive brand message across all your owned properties, like websites and social media handles, will further assert your brand authority online in SERPs.
